PROGRAMME COORDINATOR

South Caucasus regional office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation a PROGRAMME COORDINATOR, CIVIC PARTICIPATION.

Scope of work: The programme coordinator will assist the director in developing the overall strategy of the regional office and will focus on Civic Participation and EU Caucasus dialogue programmes of the regional office.

Her/his tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Participation in the development and monitoring processes of the office’s overall programme;
  • Management of Scholarship Programme and Environmental/ Urban Development Programme;
  • Content planning, realisation and evaluation of programme as well as control and monitoring of the overall budget, all in close coordination with the finance coordinator;
  • Oversight of effective implementation of project components in terms of content and administration by the office and its partners;
  • Developing new projects, including responsibility for fundraising, in particular with regard to EU projects;
  • Build and participate in civil society networks in the fields of democracy building, international relations, gender issues, conflict transformation, human rights, and other regional issues;
  • Compliance with regulations and deadlines with regard to financial and narrative reports;
  • External representation of the foundation.

Qualifications and experience

Required:

  • University degree in social science, history or law or comparable qualification;
  • Strong project-management skills, including budget planning and controlling;
  • Excellent time-management, communication and organisational skills;
  • Thorough understanding of and sensitivity for democracy, gender and minority issues; 
  • Interest in political developments and international relations; 
  • Strong verbal and written command of Georgian, English, and Russian; Command of German highly desirable;
  • Experience with work in multinational contexts and teams;
  • Good computer skills, especially MS Office.

Desirable:

  • Experience in implementing or managing EU-funded projects;
  • Experience in gender sensitive programme planning, working on women’s empowerment and/ or conflict transformation;
  • Familiarity with IDP issues;
  • International professional experience.
